PlayStation 2’s visual techniques:
Asymmetry
Irregularity
Complexity
Intricacy
Spontaneity
Activeness
Boldness
There are some differences between these two things: one is a design for a bottle, and the other is a design for a video game cover. The bottles for TENCHA Green Tea looked for a more simplistic, elegant look, so they went for a plain white background and a small, intricate design to accent the text logo. For a video game cover, they have to make it "stand out" by making it bold and active–bright reds to stand out against the rather bland background, and large text to show that it may be an intense game. Comparing all three bottles of the TENCHA Teas, they all follow a type of unity by having a "tail" sort of sticking out, possibly to show that they all follow a "series" in their drinks. Both the cover and the bottles use asymmetry to make it less dull and boring. Too much repetition would not interest the buyer. They also follow intricacy together because details on a product highly attract peoples' attention. Overall, it is usually best not to make a design for products like these too symmetrical and static, because they want people attracted to the product to grab interest, and hope that they buy it because the product design was "pretty-looking." (Moreover, I have found some people to be guilty of doing something like that.)
